DIY Revamp your old walls this Summer

Bored of staring at the same old plain walls in your room? Are they failing to inspire you for your next hobby or next trip? Here are some ways by which you can give a makeover to the old walls in your room. Treat them as a huge blank canvas and get started this summer vacation !

First of all follow these simple steps
a) De-clutter the walls- Remove the excess waste and unwanted stuff from your walls.
b) Fix the broken wall area by using cement or POP. You can do it on your own or you can take help from anyone else.
c) Clean the dirt and the spider webs from the sides.

1) For the Bohemians
Mix Plaster of Paris, Fevicol and water to make a thick paste and start spreading it on your wall. Let it dry for a few minutes. Now, make any texture of your choice with the help of a fork, comb or even your fingers. You can even embed small things in this layer. Paint the whole wall using a sponge rather than a paint brush for quick work.

2) For the Hippie souls
Add tapestries or huge sheets available in markets like Pahadganj or Lajpat Nagar (Delhi). The ones with groovy art on them specially crafted to be seen in blue light are the best after a good high.

3) For the Traveller in you
Paste a huge world map on your wall specially the ones with a glossy finish so that you could easily mark off places on the map. Keep coloring the places you have visited or even write inspirational messages on it. Cheap and artistic!

4) For the Photographers
Get your best pictures framed or just paste them on a hard board and cut them off leaving an inch border. Put two big iron nails in the wall, tie a strong string across. Hang these pictures with the help of bamboo or wooden clothespin. Add yellow string light with the string for a better look. A photo tree is also a good option.

10 Tips To Turn Your Room Bohemian & Beautiful

Our rooms are our very own kingdom. We rule these 4 walls (or more if you're lucky) where the vibes are nothing but a consolidated aura of our own being.

And if this vibe is Bohemian in nature or depicts a need to live in a more colorful environment then the pointers below will make your day.

10 tips for a Bohemian & Beautiful Room...

1. Get rid of the clutter. Arrange the things you need. Discard the unwanted stuff. Though its more Boho-like to recycle the recyclable bits that you want to throw away.
2. Read about the essence behind Bohemian art. This free-spirited culture can be inherited in a more artsy manner if you take the apt inspiration.
3. Look for them at flea markets or scribble on a canvas yourself, but remember. For a wall, the best things are paintings!
4. Plant stress busters! Use Potpourri or Fragrance lamps for the ultimate mood-elevating aura in your room. From Jasmine to Lavender to Lemongrass, they all bring positivity to your space.
5. Paint little areas of your walls for a more vibrant room. Feel free to express your thoughts on the plain boring walls (even if art is not your forte).
6. Use colorful curtains, tapestries or even rugs and carpets on your windows or just stick them up at the back of your doors.
7. Bohemians never hide what they have! Even jewelry! Display all your colorful or metallic pieces on painted boxes or painted bottles. You can get as creative as you want!
8. Dreamcatcher acts as the easiest license to give your space the Boho shades.
9. Artifacts always work! Let them be wooden or metallic. Simple or colored. Like we said, they always work!
10. Last but not the freaking least, add these decorative lights from Diwali or Christmas for a soft and dramatic look. Throw in some cushions and you are ready to cozy up & chill!
So, get going! Make this your weekend project and switch your Boho on! Love and peace.
